Mr David Murphy
Manager
David has worked for AquaTT since September 2000 becoming Manager in
January 2001. The manager is responsible for all aspects of running the
company; office management, finances, project implementation, liaising
with partners and network members, reporting and company development.

Ms Marieke Reuver
Project Manager
Marieke is a Dutch animal scientist, specialised in Animal
Production Systems and Aquaculture and Fisheries at Wageningen
University (the Netherlands), where she graduated in 2004. She
previously worked as an education assistant at the Aquaculture and
Fisheries group in Wageningen, and for the Food and Agriculture
Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, where she was
involved in the State of the World's Animal Genetic Resources project.
Marieke joined AquaTT in July 2006 working on a number of initiatives including; PISCES TT Jobs, "Training
News", PESCALEX, PROFET POLICY, CRAB, VALLA and AQUA-TNET, the European thematic network in the field of
aquaculture, fisheries and aquatic resources management.

Ms Olivia Daly
Project Officer
Olivia joined AquaTT in July 2007 as an Education and Outreach Officer
to work on the Planet Aqua initiative. She has previously worked under
a Stagiaire Programme with the Department of Environment, Heritage and
Local Government (Ireland) where she researched Ireland's current
approach to communicating information about climate change. In 2006 she
graduated with a B.A. Mod. in Environmental Science from Trinity
College.

Erin McVeigh
External Consultant
Erin McVeigh-Smith is an external consultant who regularly supports the AquaTT secretariat as a grant writer, communications advisor, and project manager, specialising in the area of financial management. Erin attended Boston University (USA) from 1997-2001, graduating with Honours, earning a BSc in Mass Communication and Public Relations, with a minor concentration on Political Science. She previously gained work experience in Washington D.C. as a communications assistant, and has also worked as a journalist with the Boston Globe. She is currently in pursuit of a professional accountancy qualification.

Lorraine Rafferty
Lorraine Rafferty was a project officer for AquaTT, November 2004 -
April 2006. Lorraine worked as the project coordinator for the
AQUALABS project as well as working on a number of other AquaTT
projects i.e., E-Aqua, PISCES TT Jobs, Training News, Crab and Planet
Aqua. Lorraine has an honours degree in Microbiology from the National
University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG), a Masters in Science
Communication from Queen's University, Belfast and Dublin City
University and in 2004 was awarded a Masters in Public Relations from
Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT).
Caoimhe Boylan
Caoimhe Boylan was the project officer for AquaTT, June 2002 - April
2005. Caoimhe worked as the project coordinator for the
PISCES project as well as working on a range of other AquaTT
initiatives i.e., E-Aqua, AQUALABS, Student Workshop 2004.Caoimhe has a
primary degree in Botany from Trinity college, Dublin, Ireland and a
Higher Diploma in Business Studies from Smurfit college, UCD, Ireland.
Rachel Fee
Rachel Fee was the Project Officer for AquaTT, March 2001 - April
2002. Rachel primarily worked on the AquaTT exchange programmes but was
also involved in a variety of other AquaTT initiatives and proposals.
Rachel left AquaTT to become Manager of Hibernia Learning Partnership,
a company strongly involved in Mobility exchanges around Europe. In
December 2003 Rachel returned home to New York to pursue other
interests.
Sinead Malone
Sinead joined AquaTT as a mobility and Administration officer in
1999 and in due course became the Manager of AquaTT early in 2000.
Sinead left AquaTT in November 2000 to pursue a career in accounting.
Lisa Owen
Lisa Owen joined AquaTT as a project officer in 1999 managing EC
initiatives. Lisa left AquaTT in early 2000 to do Voluntary
Services Overseas (VSO) in South East Asia.
Melanie Mercer
Melanie was the manager of AquaTT 1997-1999. Melanie left AquaTT in
1999 to develop her own business ideas. Melanie still keeps in close
contact with AquaTT as she currently works part time for the Marine
Institute of Ireland. Melanie has also just recently qualified as an
acupunturist.
Mike Thomson
Mike was the 2nd Manager of AquaTT in 1996-7. Mike currently
works for Marine Harvest. In May 2004 Mike moved to Norway to work as
project manager of Halibut development for the Company. Mike still
keeps in contact and helped AquaTT organise a farm visit to Marine
Harvest for the student workshop in 2004.
Sarah Garforth
Sarah worked as an office executive with Mike Thomson,
Niamh Halligan
Niamh worked as an office executive in the early days of AquaTT under Yvonne Shields.
Yvonne Shields
Yvonne was the first ever Manager of AquaTT and helped to establish
the network in 1993-96. Yvonne left AquaTT to join the Marine
Institute, Ireland and she is now Director of Strategic Planning and
Development Services. She is also a member of the Irish Research
Council for Science, Engineering and Technology. Yvonne is still
actively involved with AquaTT in her capacity as "Lindsay Laird" Chair
to the board of Directors.
Office Students & Short Term Contracts
Irene Pierattini - Spring 2009
Irene from Italy joined AquaTT for a 14 week internship period (February
- May 2009), as part of the Job Seeker Programme of the Leonardo da
Vinci Programme. She obtained a MSc in Environmental Biology from the
University of Florence, Italy. Previous work experience includes work
on board of the R/V Urania, oceanographic cruises around the
Mediterranian Sea in the MEDGOOS programme (MEDiterranean Global Ocean
Observing System). At AquaTT, she worked as a Project Assistant, helping
AquaTT staff on various projects.
Beatriz Galván González - July / October 2008
Beatriz Galván González from Spain joined AquaTT for a 12
week work placement period (July - October 2008) included in the "Youth
Training Programme" of the Leonardo da Vinci Programme. She obtained a
degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Salamanca,
Spain. Beatriz worked as a project assistant, helping AquaTT staff on
various projects.
Ida Marie Dahl - January / April 2008
Ida
from Norway joined AquaTT for a 15 week work placement period. The
placement was part of her study, Exportation and Marketing, at Bodø
University College. She has worked on various projects and office
tasks, particularly helping to regularly post new vacancies on the Piscestt
jobs website and supporting producing the newsletters “Training News” and “AquaTNET”
news.
Anne-Lise Pepin - Summer 2007
Anne-Lise Pepin from France joined AquaTT for a 3-month training
period during the summer of 2007. She is a student from the Ecole
Nationale Sup�rieure Agronomique de Toulouse (ENSAT), France,
specialising in animal production. She did this student placement
in order to improve her knowledge in fisheries and project
management.
Angelica Prudente - Spring 2007
Angelica Prudente from
Italy joined AquaTT in spring 2007, to gain work experience in project
management and EU projects. She obtained a degree in Business
Administration from the Luigi Bocconi University (Milan), Italy. She
worked as a project assistant, helping us on various projects.
Manus Crowley - April / June 2004
Manus obtained a BSc in Environmental Biology from University
College Dublin, part of his final year project was concerned with
marine and intertidal communities in Dublin bay. Manus helped AquaTT
update its databases and websites, particularly www.fishing4info.com.
Sebastien Stoll - Summer 2004
Sebastian completed a BSc in "Tropical Agriculture in developing
countries economy" during which he worked for ~1 year in aquaculture
installations abroad. After leaving AquaTT he completed a Masters
of Applied Science and Aquaculture in Australia. Sebastian is

Barbara Longhi - Summer 2001
Barbara joined Aqualex Multimedia Consortium on a LDV student
placement for the summer of 2001 to gain work experience in project
management and EU projects. Barbara came from the University of
Bologne, Italy.
