AQUALABS - Advanced Laboratory Training Courses in Aquaculture for Early-Stage Researchers

With the intent of continuing with this proven working methodology from the AQUALABS Series in 2001 AquaTT and partners came together again in 2004 to formulate a new proposal for Aqualabs training courses under the Marie Curie programme call for short training courses. Funding was secured and so each course will provide thorough training in specific areas that have direct application to research and potential impact on industry. The courses have all been succinctly designed using the proven AQUALAB methodology - consistent structure, implementation, management and evaluation for all events. Training will be provided using a combination of a distance learning element, traditional lectures, practicals and field trips. Each course will consist of three overlapping and complementary phases. The event will culminate in the Aqualab Student Conference with the exchange of best practice in the areas covered and in the complementary topics needed for a successful career in research.
